Government of National Unity Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba met on Thursday with Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, and Chief of General Intelligence Hakan Fidan.

The Prime Minister's media office said in a brief statement that the meeting, which was held in the Turkish city of Istanbul and comes within the framework of "unifying international and local efforts to support the elections in Libya."

Dabaiba did not announce his visit to Turkey in advance, he had traveled to Malta on Wednesday.
