The Steering Council of Tobruk municipality announced the closure of a number of local shops due to a lack of operating licenses.

Members of the Municipal Guard and members of Tobruk's Security Chamber participated in the inspection campaign, according to a council statement on its Facebook page.

The campaign included shops, slaughterhouses, restaurants and pharmacies on Industrial Zone Road.

Steering Council member Abdelkarim Boutabouna said that the campaign will continue and called on citizens to cooperate in controlling the street.
