Government of National Unity Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba and High Council of State leader Khaled Al-Mishri, met in a ceremony for the Turkish Embassy in Tripoli on Monday.

The High Council of State's information office said that the celebration was held on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the failed coup in Turkey.

Al-Mishri and Dabaiba were seated with Turkish ambassador Kenan Yilmaz, the head of Libya's Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, and Deputy Prime Minister Ramadan Abu Janah.

The ceremony was also attended by former Presidential Council Vice-Chairman Ahmed Maiteeg, Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, Walid Al-Lafi, and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Adel Gumaa.

This meeting comes after a letter Al-Mishri addressed to Dabaiba, urging him to withdraw the decision to appoint a new board of directors for the National Oil Corporation, warning that this action would lead to the "dismantling of the institution."

Dabaiba replied, saying that Al-Mishri's "opinion is advisory", and that this matter "is not within the competences" of the High Council of State.
