Japan Chargé d’Affairs expresses desire of Japanese companies to resume their work in Libya

The Chargé d’Affairs of Japan to Libya, Masaki Amadera, submitted an official invitation to Presidential Council member, Abdullah Al-Lafi, for Libya’s participation in the Japan-Africa Economic Forum, to be held in Tunisia next August, expressing the desire of Japanese companies to resume their work in Libya.

Amadera said during his Tripoli meeting with Al-Lafi, that the conference aims to develop the economy in Africa, with the participation of leaders and heads of government. He stressed that Libya’s invitation came in view of its “pivotal role on the continent,” according to a statement issued by the Presidential Council.

The meeting also discussed files of joint cooperation between the two countries, especially in the economic, industrial and technological fields, and activating bilateral agreements.
