Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will hold talks with his Emirati counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Moscow on Monday, with the Libyan file scheduled to be part of the conversation.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced on Saturday said the UAE minister will pay a working visit to Moscow to address bilateral cooperation, the international and regional situation, especially in Libya, Syria, Yemen and the Arab-Israeli settlement.

The two had previously held a call February 23.

Moscow earlier expressed its support for the assignment of Fathi Bashagha to form a new government in Libya, calling for respect for the parliament's choices, and expressing its hope that the postponement of the general elections would not escalate military and political tensions.
