Menfi: The President Council is committed to holding elections on schedule

Presidential Council leader Mohamed Menfi affirmed on Sunday, the Council's commitment before the Libyan people and the world, to conduct the electoral elections simultaneously on December 24, to ensure the stability of Libya.

During his meeting with Malta's ambassador to Libya, Charles Saliba, he referred to "the success of the Presidential Council in fulfilling its promises of a ceasefire, opening the coastal road, and launching the national reconciliation project." He also explained that Libyan-Maltese relations are witnessing remarkable developments in all fields to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.

According to the Presidential Council's media office, the meeting discussed “the latest developments in the Libyan political situation, the Mediterranean region and arrangements taken to hold the elections on December 24."

For his part, the Maltese ambassador affirmed the depth of the Libyan-Maltese relations in all fields, praising the continuous cooperation between the authorities of the two countries, as it enhances partnership opportunities.
