The media office for the Attorney General confirmed to Alwasat on Tuesday, the arrest of the director of Zuwara security, Brigadier General Imad al-Din Massoud "on the order of the public prosecutor", denying that he was kidnapped as rumored.

Earlier, the Zuwara security directorate announced the kidnapping of its director, Brigadier General Imad al-Din Massoud on his way to perform dawn prayers today, without giving details of the incident.

The Ministry of Interior has not issued any comment so far.
