The head of Libya's Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, met on Thursday evening in Istanbul, the Qatari Foreign Minister, Muhammad bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, and the Qatari Ambassador to Libya, Muhammad bin Nasser Al Thani.

The media office for the Presidential Council said that the meeting discussed developments in Libya and the bilateral relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed "a political solution to the Libyan crisis in accordance with the Skhirat agreement, Security Council resolutions and the outputs of the Berlin Conference," and they agreed to "activate cooperative relations in various fields", according to a statement.

The Presidential Council's media office did not reveal more details on Al-Sarraj's visit to Turkey, its duration or its agenda.
