The Libyan National Army's (LNA) General Command announced the cessation of all military operations on its part, in response to calls from the international community and neighboring countries for a humanitarian truce during the month of Ramadan.

LNA Spokesman, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, read during a press conference a statement on behalf of the General Command, announcing that on the occasion of Ramadan “in appreciation and in response to calls from brotherly and friendly countries that demanded the cessation of hostilities during this holy month, the General Command announces the cessation of all military operations on its part. Adding that "any attack by terrorist militias would be met with an immediate and very harsh response.”
