Sayala discusses return of Japanese power companies to Libya with Japanese FM Taro Kono

Government of National Accord Foreign Minister Mohammed Taher Sayala discussed with his Japanese counterpart Taro Kono on Wednesday evening ways to return Japanese companies to improve power generation in Libya and invest in several other areas.

According to a statement of the Foreign Ministry today, the meeting, which brought the two parties in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, dealt with the latest developments in Libya and ways of strengthening relations between the two friendly countries, and the development of cooperation and the return of the Japanese Embassy to conduct its work from Tripoli, and benefit from the Japanese side in training Libyan's to build capacity in oil, education and technology.

Kono stressed that a number of Japanese companies are considering returning and investing in Libya, pointing out that his country is still offering training courses in capacity building in the field of health, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program, through the provision of scholarships.
