The spokesman for the General Command of the Libyan National Army, Brig. Gen. Ahmad Al-Mismari, confirmed that 128 members of the army had been captured as prisoners in "Gate 27" west of Tripoli.

Al-Mismari blamed the incident on the brigade commander, explaining that "the forces captured were not equipped with sufficient weapons or ammunition."

Al-Mismari said at a press conference on Friday that military prosecution is in the process of issuing an arrest warrant for the commander.
