Libya's National Center for Disease Control announced the registration of one new covid infection and zero deaths during the period of January 2-8.

The center added that 83 samples were examined, resulting in a 1.2% positive rate.

This brings the total number of infections in Libya since March 2020 to 507,154, with the total number of deaths at 6,437.
