The Minister of Housing and Construction for the Government of National Unity called on Iranian companies to participate in reconstruction and development projects as part of the "Return to Life" plan announced by Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabiaba on Sunday.

The call came during a meeting in Tripoli between Minister Abu Bakr Al-Ghawi with the Iranian charge d'affaires Ain Allah Souri.

The minister affirmed the government's position that the Libyan-Iranian Joint Committee will resume holding its meetings, develop cooperation in the health and technical fields, encourage exports and cooperate in the industrial field, and exchange official visits.

The statement added that the meeting focused on discussing several files related to the competencies of the Ministry of Housing and Construction, especially with regard to Iranian building materials products in line with the Libyan market and the participation of Iranian companies in the Libya Construction Expo.
