The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced the start of a massive overhaul on the sixth and seventh gas units at the South Tripoli power station.

The company indicated, in a statement, that the station's technicians and engineers had doubled morning and evening shifts to complete repairs in order to meet the summer power demand peak.

The overhaul is being supervised by specialists from the German company Siemens.
