The spokesman for Libya's interim Government of National Unity, Muhammad Hammouda, confirmed that the cabinet approved the formation of a board of directors for the Ras Ajdir free zone because of its importance to the revitalization of transit trade between Libya and Tunisia, and to increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.

Hammouda said during a press conference held on Wednesday, that this measure comes within the framework of the government's efforts to find economic policies that contribute to improving spatial development and activating border areas.

Hammouda also confirmed the cabinet's approval for reconstituting a technical committee charged with studying and evaluating the quantities of oil and shale gas, granting permission to the Tripoli City Development Authority to recycle financial balances carried over from previous years, and to increase the capital of the General Company for the Import of Security Goods.
