The Chairman of Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC), Farhat Bengdara, was asked about the absence of Oil Minister Mohamed Oun from the signing ceremony of a $8 billion energy agreement with Eni on Saturday.
He responded: "Our work is legal but whoever believes that it is illegal can challenge it in court. As for the point of view of a non-existent party, you can direct the question to him."
This came during a press conference after the signing of the energy agreement.
Eni CEO Claudio Descalzi said that signing today's agreement with the National Oil Corporation "is based on years of work in Libya, and it is not born today, and this is an economic agreement for energy, not a political agreement.
