Ministry of Foreign Affairs discusses activating cooperation with Turkey regarding Ottoman era documents

Libya's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation held an expanded meeting to activate bilateral cooperation between Libyan institutions concerned with archiving Ottoman era documents and their counterparts in Turkey.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry, Ahmed Al-Deeb, stressed the importance of holding another expanded meeting with the participation of the relevant authorities to complete the discussion of the matter, according to a ministry’s statement on Tuesday.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Department of International Law and Treaties Khalifa Arhim, the Assistant Head of the Real Estate Registration Authority Khairi Shiha, the Head of the Antiquities Department Muhammad Faraj, the Chairman of the Administration Committee of the Old City of Tripoli Mahmoud Al-Naas, and the Director of the Research Department at the Libyan Center for Archives and Historical Studies Ali Al-Hazil.
