Egyptian-Saudi statement affirms need to maintain Libya's stability, reject external interventions

The final communiqué of the follow-up committee and the political consultation between Saudi Arabia and Egypt stressed the need to preserve Libya's stability, unity, territorial integrity and "reject external interference in its affairs and attempts to destabilize internal and regional conditions by supporting terrorism and extremism".

In the statement issued on Tuesday, the two sides stressed their position in favor of a comprehensive political solution in the country, as agreed to at the Berlin conference and the Cairo Declaration.

During the meetings, the two sides also reiterated their rejection of regional interventions in the internal affairs of the Arab states and attempts to destabilize the security and stability of the region, noting the importance of the Arab role and the role of the league of Arab states in resolving regional crises, within the framework of international resolutions and in accordance with the principles of international law.they also expressed the importance of promoting joint Arab action.
