Putin, Erdogan discuss Libya in phone talks

Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the situation in Libya during a phone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday, the call came at the request of the Turkish side.

The Russian presidency said, in a statement, that the two agreed "once again on the need to end the armed confrontation in Libya and return to negotiations on the basis of the decisions of the Berlin International Conference held on January 19, which were approved by Security Council Resolution 2510."

The two parties also agreed to cooperate politically and diplomatically to resolve the Libyan crisis, while Erdogan congratulated Putin on the success of the vote on the recent constitutional amendments in Russia.
