The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Libya's Government of National Unity, Najla Mangoush, attended a signing ceremony between Chad's transitional authorities and rebel groups in Doha on Monday.
The ceremony comes before a broad national reconciliation dialogue to take place later this month.
The agreement included parties agreeing to take part in a national, inclusive dialogue. It was attended by more than 30 rebel groups and followed months of talks in the Qatari capital.
Details, such as how the deal will be implemented and how adherence to it will be monitored, were not immediately released.
Representatives of the African Union, international and regional organizations also participated in the signing ceremony according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mangoush welcomed the agreement, expressing appreciation for Qatar's mediation efforts. She also expressed her hope that this agreement would contribute to “establishing peace through dialogue and comprehensive national reconciliation to provide a path for stability in Chad."
