The Minister of Foreign Affairs for Libya's Government of National Unity, Najla Mangoush, discussed "steps to impose security and enhance stability," with the Qatari ambassador to Libya, Khaled Al-Dosari.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Mangoush received Al-Dosari, who delivered a written message to her from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, on Thursday.

The meeting also dealt with “the latest developments in the political situation in the country", and "the continuous work to hold elections as soon as possible."

The ministry indicated that the Qatari ambassador had offered his country's government and people's condolences to the Libyan people for the "painful humanitarian disaster in Bent Bayya municipality", in reference to a truck explosion in the southern municipality last Monday, which killed 9 people and injured 70 others.
