The UN Secretary-General's Adviser for Libya, Stephanie Williams, arrived in Sebha on Wednesday, describing the city as "the heart of the south and the meeting point of the various parts of Libyan society."

Williams tweeted after her arrival: "From here, I would like to emphasize the importance of the people of the south enjoying the bounties of their land and that everyone respects their rights in full without marginalization, with a full commitment to the principles of coexistence, citizenship, partnership and social justice."

Before leaving for Sebha, Williams held a meeting yesterday, Tuesday, with the Chairman of the 410th Joint Committee, Major General Mahmoud Bin Yaza, to discuss the committee’s plans on “integrating armed groups and supporting forces on an individual basis in state and private sector institutions throughout the country."
