French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian handed over an invitation to visit France next November from French President Emmanuel Macron to Libya Presidential Council leader, in order to attend the Paris International Conference on Libya.
This came during the Menfi's reception of the French Foreign Minister and his accompanying delegation who participated in the work of Libya Stabilization Conference.
The meeting discussed the holding of presidential and parliamentary elections, the success of the comprehensive national reconciliation project, and the consolidation of stability in Libya, which would be reflected in the entire region.
Menfi welcomed the French delegation participating in the conference, stressing the importance of concerted international efforts to cross the current stage, by holding the presidential and parliamentary elections simultaneously, in order to achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people to reach permanent stability.
The French Foreign Minister expressed his "happiness with the state of security and safety in Tripoli, and with the stability he witnessed, and the return to normal life throughout the country, since the new authorities took over the leadership of the country, represented by the Presidential Council and the Government of National Unity," expressing his wishes for holding presidential and parliamentary elections on schedule.
