On Thursday, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu urged the need to hold the Libyan elections scheduled for December 24 in a "free, fair and credible manner."
This came as a comment from Cavusoglu during his meeting in Ankara with Libyan Minister of Foreign Najla Mangoush.
The head of Turkish diplomacy said of the meeting, "we discussed our bilateral relations and issues on our agenda with our first guest, Libyan Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush."
He added, "The (Libyan) elections must be conducted in a free, fair and credible manner," adding, "we will continue to contribute to the stability and prosperity of Libya."
Mangoush began an official visit to Turkey on Thursday, in which she is scheduled to “discuss of bilateral relations and the current developments in Libya,” according to a statement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
