The House of Representatives mourned the death of representative Ahmed Shihoub Al-Wahidi, a member of the House of Representatives from the third district of Benghazi, who passed away on Wednesday morning.
In a statement mourning the late representative, the house said: “With hearts that believe in God’s judgment and destiny, and with more sadness and sorrow, the Libyan House of Representatives mourns our member from the Benghazi Ahmed Shihoub Ibrahim Al-Wahidi, who passed away today, Wednesday, asking that Almighty God to bless him with mercy.”
For his part, Representative Abu Bakr Saeed said, “we were horrified this morning by the news of the death of our colleague and friend Ahmed Shihoub Al-Wahidi, a member of the House of Representatives from the city of Benghazi.”
He added: "May God have mercy on him among the men we cherish in Cyrenaica. He left an imprint and an honorable history for his family and his city. He is a wise national figure who has always been a supporter of peace and reconciliation, loving Libya and defending its unity. He has many brave and honorable stances."
