The Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation, Nasser Bourita, received on Friday the Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Aguilah Saleh, in Rabat.

On Thursday, the spokesman for Libya's House of Representatives, Abdullah Bleihaq, confirmed that Saleh "received on Thursday the plans for the shape and structure of the national unity government."

On Wednesday, the U.S. ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, informed the speaker of the House of Representatives, during a telephone call with him, that Washington stressed the need for a vote of confidence in the new government.

"Ambassador Norland spoke with House Speaker Aguilah Saleh today to emphasize the importance of holding the House session to vote on the granting of confidence to the new executive branch as soon as possible," the U.S. Embassy said.
