Maiteeg and EU Ambassador discuss efforts to unify Libya's state institutions

The Vice-President of Libya's Presidential Council, Ahmed Maiteeg, met on Wednesday with the Ambassador of the European Union Mission to Libya, Jose Sabadell, to discuss the country's economic path and efforts to unify state institutions.

During the meeting, which was held at the prime minister's office, Maiteeg stressed "the need to advance reconciliation efforts, unify institutions and create conditions to reach the elections."

On Tuesday, Maiteeg met with the Humanitarian Coordinator for the United Nations Development Programme in Libya, Georgette Gagnon, who confirmed the mission's desire to coordinate with the Government of National Accord to implement its programmes in the area of displaced persons, health care and humanitarian services.
