Menfi and Dabaiba hold meeting with House of Representatives members from Libya's eastern region

The Presidential Council, chosen by the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum, held a discussion on Tuesday in Tripoli with a group of House of Representatives members for the eastern region, on the mechanism for the formation and adoption of the transitional government.

The meeting, chaired by the head of the council, Mohamed Menfi and in the presence of the prime minister, Abdulhamid Dabaiba, discussed the formation and approval of the new government before presenting it to parliament in the coming days.

Earlier in the day, Dabaiba met with EU Ambassador to Libya Jose Antonio Sabadell, stressing the need to continue "constructive joint work" with the European Union, to continue to "implement joint agreements that were signed by previous governments."

Dabaiba added that he looked forward to the return of European diplomatic missions and companies to Libya to complete the projects and explore new investment opportunities in Libya.
