Libyan Airlines resumes flights from Tripoli and Benghazi to Cairo

Libyan Airlines has announced the resumption of flights between Benghazi, Tripoli and Cairo.

The airline said that the resumption of its flights followed talks and contacts held by the company's general manager, Jalal Al-Sharda, over the past days with officials in the Libyan and Egyptian air transport and civil aviation sectors, which produced "joyful results."

According to a company statement, it has been officially agreed to resume operation of the Tripoli/Cairo/Tripoli route by four times per week, and the Benghazi/Cairo/Benghazi route twice a week, the schedule will be officially announced in the next few days.

On Thursday, Libyan Airlines resumed its first flights to Burj Al Arab Airport in Alexandria, Egypt, more than a year after the national carrier stopped flights to Egyptian territory.
