A number of residents in the city of Benghazi took to the streets and squares on Wednesday to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the February 17th revolution, in conjunction with many celebrations in different cities and regions of the country.

Residents of Benghazi raised Libyan flags in addition to their city's flags, while activists on Libyan social media circulated calls for "reconciliation" and "turning the page on the past."

The 10th anniversary of the February Revolution coincides with the selection by the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum of a new presidential council headed by Mohamed Menfi, Abdullah Al-Lafi and Musa Al-Koni, in addition to Abdulhamid Dabaiba as head of government in the unified executive authority, which is scheduled to lead the country until the general elections
