U.S. ambassador to Libya Richard Norland expressed fears that "any further closures in the Libyan energy sector would harm all Libyans."

This came during his meeting with the chairman of the board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation Mustafa Sanallah on Monday, according to a statement released on Tuesday.

The Oil Facilities Guard shut down the Harigh oil port in Tobruk, last Sunday, in protest of salary payment delays by the National Oil Corporation.
