The Benghazi security directorate announced Tuesday that an armed group captured one of the vehicles of the Rescue Department in the Al-Sraity area.
"An armed group on board vehicles equipped with weapons attacked a rescue vehicle assigned to the March 10 junction in the Al-Sraity area," the directorate said in a press release. "The attackers took control of the patrol members, seized the vehicle and fled."
The Benghazi security directorate pointed out that "all patrols were tasked combing the entire area for the armed group but found no trace of them."
Hours before the attack, the directorate raided a farm in the Al-Talha area, arresting six family member, seizing three vehicles painted in military colors, several stolen cars, 20 bottles of whiskey, cash and a number of firearms of various types, according to a statement.
