Al-Sarraj disscusses overcoming electricity supply obstacles with officials

The head of Libya's Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, discussed on Tuesday the possibility of "overcoming obstacles to cover the deficit in the supply of electricity, plans to increase productive capacity, and accelerating the provision of financial requirements for the electricity sector."

Al-Sarraj met with finance minister Faraj Boumatari, the head of the Audit Bureau Khalid Shakshak, the chairman of the General Electric Company, engineer Waem Al-Abdali, and the general manager of the company, engineer Ibrahim Al-Falah, the General Electricity Company said in a statement posted on its Facebook page.

The meeting discussed "accelerating the implementation of new electrical projects, carrying out required maintenance operations and heavy life spans of production units to meet the growing demand for electric power, and partially overcoming and mitigating the problem of electricity during the coming summer."
