Pakistan President calls for steps to improve trade relations with Libya

Pakistani President Arif Alvi said Wednesday that his country values its close and fraternal relations with Libya and wants to strengthen bilateral relations in all areas of common interest.

The remarks came during a conversation with Pakistan's Ambassador-designate to Libya, Rashad Javed, and urged him to take steps to improve trade relations with Libya, the official Pakistan News Agency reported.

Alvi also welcomed thecessation of hostilities in Libya, saying that Pakistan stands by the Libyan people in their quest for peace and prosperity.
