Bashagha discusses cooperation on migration, combating terrorism and organized crime with EU ambassador

The Minister of the Interior for Libya's Government of National Accord, Fathi Bashagha, held a meeting on Tuesday, with the Ambassador of the European Union to Libya, Jose Sabadell, on joint cooperation in migration issues, combating terrorism and organized crime.

The Ministry of the Interior said that the meeting between Bashagha and Sabadell also "discussed the topic of training programs that the European Union can provide to the Ministry of the Interior in order to raise the efficiency of security personnel."

They added that the meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Interior in Tripoli, looked at "the issue of the issue of illegal immigration and joint cooperation to confront this phenomenon, in addition to a number of issues of common concern."
