The Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) announced the loss of contact with employee Hamza Miloud Al-Hadiri after he left the Nafoura oil field at 10:00 a.m on Friday.
The company said in a statement released on Saturday evening that contact was lost with Al-Hadiri after he arrived in the city of Jalu, he was enroute to the company's 'Bayda 47' field.
The company pointed to the formation of a search team, consisting of the Murada Brigade, Murada Police Station, Waha Company, The Nafoura Field Guards, volunteers from the Azoua tribe and volunteers from Murada and Al-Bayda field.
The search which began on Saturday included 'field 103' and all the roads leading to Al-Bayda field, "but to no avail", according to the company's statement. They indicated that they would resume the search on Sunday.
