Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed that his country supports "political solutions, respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity and commitment to the ceasefire in Libya," in conjunction with the holding of the Libyan Political Forum in Tunisia to resolve the political crisis in the country.

On Monday, during his meeting with British Intelligence Chief Richard Moore, El-Sisi discussed the "tense" situation in the eastern Mediterranean region, while Moore praised "Egyptian efforts to stabilize the current situation on the ground in Libya according to the declared lines, which contributed decisively to tightening the situation in efforts to restore stability and security in the country, ”according to a statement.

The head of British intelligence affirmed his country's keenness to maintain continuous coordination with Egypt regarding various challenges, especially in light of developments in the Middle East, the Eastern Mediterranean and the African continent, referring to El-Sisi's role in “supporting regional security and stability, which established Egypt's role as a balance.

The meeting also touched on "strengthening security and intelligence cooperation between the two countries on various related issues," as El-Sisi stressed "the necessity for everyone to come together to confront terrorism through a comprehensive approach that includes isolating extremist ideological thought."
