The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, hosted the head of Libya's High Council of State, Khaled Al-Mishri and his accompanying delegation, to discuss the latest developments in the region, the course of the Libyan political dialogue and the Qatari efforts to contribute to ending the crisis in Libya.
According to the Qatar News Agency the meeting also “reviewed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance and develop them. Noting that the meeting was attended by the head of the Qatari Shura Council, Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud .
Al-Mishri and his accompanying delegation arrived in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Saturday evening, in response to an invitation from the head of the Qatari Shura Council.
The media office for the High Council of State said in a statement that the head of the Qatari Shura Council received Al-Mishri and his accompanying delegation upon their arrival in Doha, pointing out that the visit comes to "coordinate positions on issues of common concern between the two brotherly countries."
