France congratulated the Ministry of the Interior for Libya's Government of National Accord on the arrest of Abdel-Rahman Milad, who is accused of human trafficking.
The French embassy in Libya said in a statement that it congratulates the Libyan Ministry of Interior for its arrest of Milad, in implementation of the decisions by the Libyan judiciary and the sanctions committee of the United Nations Security Council.
The embassy added that "fighting human trafficking crimes is necessary in Libya and the world."
The Interior Ministry announces that Milad had been arrested on charges of human trafficking, smuggling of migrants and fuel.
Milad was detained after investigations conducted by the Attorney General's office resulted in an arrest warrant against him, as well as the issuance of an INTERPOL special bulletin at the request of the Security Council Sanctions Committee.
