The head of Libya's Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, agreed with Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on "the necessity of stopping negative foreign interference in Libyan affairs and the importance of dialogue between Libyans leading to legislative and presidential elections as soon as possible."

This came during a phone call on Wednesday, to discuss "developments in Libya," according to a statement published by the Government of National Accord.

In turn, the Algerian presidency said in a statement that Tebboune had responded during the call to Al-Sarraj’s request for “urgent assistance in fixing a defect in the power plant that supplies Tripoli,” by ordering the Algerian Minister of Energy to form a technical team and travel to Tripoli to Thursday.
