"Achieving political and security stability in Libya" subject of Egyptian-French discussions

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed with his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian the latest developments in the Libyan situation onThursday, on the sidelines of the quartet ministerial conference in Amman, which dealt with the latest developments of the Palestinian issue.

This came in a statement published by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the same statement, Shoukry reviewed "the efforts made by Egypt to achieve political and security stability in Libya," stressing "the need for joint action to stop negative interference destabilizing security and stability there."

The spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ahmed Hafez, said that Minister Shoukry expressed his "satisfaction with the pace of coordination and consultations between the two countries at all levels in order to enhance cooperation in connection with regional developments."
