LNA General Command: Agreement to resume oil production came during negotiations with Ahmed Maiteeg

The General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA) announced that the agreement to resume production and export of oil, is "to secure the future of Libya and will be valid for a period of one month."

Adding: "We hope that during this period all measures will be taken within the framework of the internal Libyan-Libyan dialogue under the leadership of Ahmed Maiteeg (Presidential Council Deputy), and that they will be implemented in the interest of the Libyan people and the future of Libya," according to the statement/

The General Command noted that "the internal Libyan-Libyan dialogue began with the positive participation and interaction of Maiteeg," as the parties agreed on a "fair distribution of oil revenues, in a way that would serve all Libyans residing in the eastern, western and southern regions alike, and a joint committee was formed to resolve all disputes and issues."
