The Minister of the Interior for Libya's Government of National Accord, Fathi Bashagha, confirmed that he issued instructions to concerned authorities to continue granting welfare benefits to Palestinians residing in Libya.
This came during his meeting with the Chargé d'Affairs of the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Libya, Muhammad Rahal, at the Ministry’s office in Tripoli, on Tuesday, according to a statement.
Bashagha explained that these benefits are represented in the right to residency, education, treatment, applying for work and obtaining work licenses.
The meeting dealt with several issues related to Palestinians residing in Libya. Rahal confirmed that no harassment was monitored against Palestinians throughout their stay in Libya, expressing thanks for the security efforts made by the competent authorities at the Ministry of Interior.
