Marshal Haftar discusses "electrical grid needs" with oil sector officials in Benghazi

The Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army, Marshal Khalifa Haftar, met with National Oil Corporation Board of Directors member, Jadallah Al-Awkali, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Gulf Oil Company, Muhammad bin Shatwan in Benghazi on Sunday.

The meeting discussed "several points related to the oil sector, including the sector's role and its ability to provide fuel in order to cover the needs of the electrical network," according to a statement General Command's media office.

Haftar's meeting comes days after his meeting with the President of the Public Authority for Electricity and Renewable Energies, Engineer Fakhri Al-Mismari, where they discussed difficulties facing the electrical network, the authority’s workflow and developing urgent solutions.
