Egyptian FM discusses latest developments in Libya with US Senate and House members

The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, discussed with a number of members from both parties in the US Congress (House and Senate) the latest developments in the situation in Libya.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez said that Shoukry exchanged views with members of Congress during a number of phone calls on regional and international issues to reach political solutions, foremost in the Libyan crisis.

He pointed to "ways to confront the negative role of some countries in destabilizing the security and stability of the region."

The contacts also touched on many issues such as the developments in the Renaissance Dam file, developments in Syria and Palestine.
