The General Command called on Thursday evening, "Arab countries, neighboring countries, people, governments and the rest of the world seeking peace not to hesitate to support the Libyan National Army (LNA) in its battle against terrorism and to strengthen its struggle to confront colonialism," according to a statement read by its spokesman, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari on Thursday.

In the statement, Al-Mismari called on states to "objectively consider the reality of what is happening on the Libyan scene, its serious dimensions, repercussions at the national level and on the security of the region."

Al-Mismari assured the Libyan people that the battle "against terrorism, mercenaries and the Turkish ambitions to invade" Libya "will not stop until the liberation of all Libyan soil and the imposition of national sovereignty."

Al-Mismari stressed that the General Command will take care "with every concern to lead to a lasting and solid peace settlement, based on the principles of our people, foremost of which is the guarantee of the unity and territorial integrity of Libya, the freedom of our people, the protection of their wealth, capabilities, and the achievement of noble national goals and objectives."
