The statements published by the Turkish channel TRT come days after Turkish Vice President, Fuat Oktay, who said that the cooperation between Ankara and Washington in the Libyan file "has gained depth that may make a positive difference."
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu also confirmed that there is a rapprochement between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and US President Donald Trump, regarding Libya, pointing out that Washington has begun taking a "more effective" role in Libya, pointing out that Erdogan "suggested that Ankara and Washington work together on Libya, and Trump met the proposal positively. ”
Kalin continued: "We are in contact with all countries to install acease-fire and we want to establish peace in the Mediterranean, but there are those who to get Turkey out of the scene," stressing that "no step can succeed without Turkey in this regard."
