Tebboune and Erdogan agree to intensify efforts for cease fire in Libya

Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, have agreed to intensify efforts to reach a ceasefire in Libya as a necessary precursor to facilitating a political solution.

This came during a call between the two parties on Tuesday, during which they reviewed the situation in the region, according to astatement by the Algerian presidency.

The two presidents pointed to the need to find a political solution based on respect for the popular legitimacy that guarantees the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Libya.
