The spokesman of the Government of National Accord's (GNA) forces, Colonel Muhammad Gnounou, instructed the military police and military engineering to close the neighborhoods that his forces seized and not to allow citizens to enter "for whatever reasons", stressing that all these areas are still areas of military operations.

Gnounou drew attention to the death of two civilians due to mine explosions on Friday, after they returned to inspect their homes in Salah Al-Din and Al-Mashrou, south of Tripoli.

These neighborhoods are "riddled with mines and booby traps," the military spokesman said in a statement, noting that the military engineering teams and the military and chemical engineering departments are working on surveying and securing them.
