The Minister of Foreign Affairs for Libya's Government of National Accord (GNA), Mohamed Siala, said that the Foreign Ministry will work with relevant ministries to "document violations of countries supporting Khalifa Haftar through the weapons found at Al-Watiya Air Force Base."

He indicated that he will present his findings to the UN Security Council and the Sanctions Committee “which must shoulder its responsibilities towards these violations,” according to a statement by the ministry’s External Communication Department on Monday.

He continued, "We will work with full force with all international peace-loving powers to establish justice and build a civil, democratic state in which all Libyans enjoy freedom and justice."

The GNA announced that its forces had taken control of the Al-Watiya airbase early Monday morning.
